Are you ready for the holiday of a lifetime?

Crumble Cottage is a holiday home available throughout the year for lettings, located on the Isle of Colonsay in the western isles of Scotland.

The cottage is a full restoration from a ruin that stood on the same site and was completed in the early 2000s. The cottage is furnished as a family home in a rustic, traditional style, designed to evoke feelings of warmth and nostalgia for times gone by.

Although outfitted traditionally, Crumble Cottage is fully equipped with modern features to ensure a comfortable stay — telephone, Internet connection and satellite television are all available for use.

Colonsay is a peaceful and beautiful island particularly revered by those who are looking for refuge from the excesses and hectic pace of modern life. We love animals — dogs are more than welcome to stay, but we request that you don't smoke in the cottage. Please feel free to browse the site to get a better impression of the cottage and location. We look forward to hearing from you soon!

I had the most wonderful week at Crumble Cottage. I came to Colonsay on foot and (although I'm not very fit) I managed to walk everywhere on the island - even over to Oronsay which was spectacular (and a nice family offered me a lift on the way back). The cottage is about a 4 mile walk to the ferry, shop and pantry. This place is perfect if you're looking for peace and quiet — just open the patio doors and watch the sea splash on the rocks while eating your breakfast/dinner. Occasionally had a wee visit from the resident highland coos too. Can't recommend enough!!

Amazing views from cottage across to Mull including Ben More, which I had climbed 20 years previously. Pristine coastline. So many walks and prehistory. Frequented the Hotel, the Pantry, Colonsay House Cafe and Sunday lunch at the Community Hall. Islanders welcoming and friendly. Most relaxing stay.

SUCH a beautiful place to stay! Incredible views and easy walks on the doorstep — cozy fire and a perfect spot to get back in touch with reality! Lots of gazing out the window into stunning wild nature! All you need for a wonderful, peaceful, nurturing break. A stress free island full of peace, magical coves and friendly people. Easy and helpful communication throughout — thank you! Would love to return one day 😊

Crumble cottage is set in a beautiful location with fantastic views of Mull. The house is clean and tidy and has a very homely feel. If anything, the pictures don't do the place justice — it is all even nicer than it looks online. The hosts (Lily and Duncan) were always quick to reply to questions and were very flexible and accommodating after our ferry was unexpectedly cancelled. All in all, I would highly recommend this very reasonably priced, well looked after and lovely place to anyone looking for a quiet and restful few days.
